At the end of May, Fieldwood Energy completed the second phase of its Community Rainwater Harvesting Program—a clear step forward in its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and social impact in southeast Mexico.
As part of this phase, five new rainwater harvesting systems were installed in public schools across Campeche and Tabasco, enhancing access to safe water in areas where every drop counts.
The initiative goes beyond infrastructure. In classrooms, students take part in interactive workshops designed to build awareness around water conservation. At the same time, Rainwater Committees—formed by school staff and parents—were established and trained to ensure the proper care and long-term operation of the systems.
Program Highlights to Date:
5 more communities involved;
870+ students reached;
1.4 million liters of water captured annually;
A growing local network committed to sustainability.
By bringing together technology, education, and local engagement, Fieldwood Energy continues to support practical, community-based solutions that make a lasting difference.
