A LEADER ON THE GULF OF MEXICO SHELF

Fieldwood Energy LLC is the largest operator on the Gulf of Mexico Shelf. Our people, expertise, partnerships and commitment to success are the reasons behind our continued growth.

Fieldwood Energy was formed in early 2013 as a portfolio company of Riverstone Holdings LLC, a private energy and power-focused investment firm with approximately $30 billion committed to over 120 investments globally. Fieldwood Energy established itself in September 2013 with its inaugural acquisition of Apache’s Gulf of Mexico Shelf business, followed by the acquisition of SandRidge’s Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast business units in early 2014. Since that time, Fieldwood has completed several smaller and bolt-on transactions and built the company into a leading Gulf of Mexico operator.

Our Operations

Fieldwood owns interests in approximately 500 offshore blocks in the Gulf of Mexico. Our asset base is largely concentrated in the Gulf of Mexico Shelf in water depths of less than 1,000 feet, though the Company has also limited deepwater operations as well as properties onshore in Texas and Louisiana.
